Dyptique (2 panels 130x196 cm) created for the scenography of the festival Musique en chemin 2020, in the multi-century-old Collegiate Church in La Romieu (Gers)

 

Diving into the abyss is like flying to a planet in another galaxy, an unknown world where moving tentacles and fluorescent molluscs reign, strange invertebrates, sublime coral reefs from the time when they were rich in colour and inhabited by a thousand fish. In the silence of the depths, algae, like trees, participate in a subtle balance, while jellyfish overpopulate the oceans and corals die. The series of seabeds that these Polyptychs take up evokes once again our world in mutation by the action of man. Panels that form a whole, as if the pieces had to be glued together.
