The Octopus

The octopus brings together the drawings, sculptures, engravings and texts of a right-handed woman with a migraine, made with her left hand between 2009 and 2012.

"When I have the octopus, I draw in notebooks. I draw the octopus, my head, the vices, the knots, the holes, the screams, with my left hand. They are black drawings, as ugly as the beast, with hard and strong lines, which pierce the paper. They express better than anything the intrusion of the beast. They are the last impulse for survival when nothing calms me down and still sleep is fatal."
